الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي أستقبل أكينومي أديسينا رئيس مجموعة بنك التنمية الأفريقي والوفد المرافق له وأعرب عن تشرفه بلقاء الرئيس السيسي مشيداً بالتجربة التنموية المصرية

أستقبل الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية “أكينومي أديسينا” رئيس مجموعة بنك التنمية الأفريقي، والوفد المرافق له الذي ضم “كيفين أوراما” نائب رئيس البنك، و “فينسنت نيمهيل” السكرتير العام للبنك، ومن الجانب المصري حسن عبد الله محافظ البنك المركزي، و رامي أبو النجا نائب المحافظ للاستقرار النقدي، و منة الله فريد وكيل المحافظ لقطاع العلاقات الخارجية.
وصرح المستشار أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية بأن الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي رحب بتطور علاقات التعاون المشترك بين مصر وبنك التنمية الأفريقي، معرباً عن تقديره لدور البنك في دعم القطاعات التنموية بالقارة الأفريقية، لاسيما في ظل التحديات الاقتصادية المتنامية على المستوى الدولي.
كما أكد الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي تطلع مصر لاستمرار وزيادة حجم التعاون مع البنك خلال الفترة المقبلة في مختلف المجالات، في إطار أهداف الاستراتيجية القُطرية المشتركة بين الجانبين.
من جانبه؛ أعرب رئيس بنك التنمية الأفريقي عن تشرفه بلقاء الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي ، مشيداً بالتجربة التنموية المصرية خلال السنوات القليلة الماضية، وواصفاً إياها بأنها مصدر إلهام كبير للشعوب الأفريقية على امتداد القارة، ومضيفاً أن الشعب المصري وقيادته السياسية أظهرا قدرة فائقة على النهوض السريع وتحقيق العديد من الإنجازات المهمة، مثمناً في هذا السياق ما تحقق في العديد من قطاعات التنمية، لا سيما قطاعات الكهرباء، ومعالجة المياه وإعادة استخدامها، وتطوير المناطق السكنية غير المخططة، باعتبارها أمثلة ونماذج مضيئة على ما تحقق من تقدم تنموي يُفيد قطاعات واسعة من السكان.
وأضاف المستشار أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي أن رئيس مجموعة بنك التنمية الأفريقي أعرب عن سعادته لاستضافة مصر للاجتماعات السنوية لمجموعة البنك بمدينة شرم الشيخ في شهر مايو المقبل، مشيراً إلى أنها ستركز على مناقشة سبل تشجيع التكامل الاقتصادي القاري، فضلاً عن آليات سد فجوة تمويل المناخ في القارة الأفريقية، بما يجعلها امتداداً للجهد المصري المتميز في استضافة ورئاسة القمة العالمية للمناخ العام الماضي.
وقد أعرب الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي في هذا الصدد عن دعم مصر الكامل للبنك واجتماعاته السنوية، مؤكداً حرص مصر الدائم على تعزيز المصالح الأفريقية بكافة صورها وعلى جميع الأصعدة.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the President of the African Development Bank Group, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, and his accompanying delegation, which included Vice President of the Bank Kevin Urama and Secretary General of the Bank Vincent Nmehielle. From the Egyptian side, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt Mr. Hassan Abdallah, Deputy Governor for Monetary Stability Mr. Rami Aboul Naja, and Deputy Governor for External Affairs Ms. Mannullah Farid attended the meeting.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said President El-Sisi welcomed the development of cooperation between Egypt and the African Development Bank, and expressed appreciation for the Bank’s role in supporting the development sectors in Africa, particularly in light of the growing economic challenges at the international level. The President also affirmed that Egypt looked forward to continuing and increasing cooperation with the Bank in the coming period in various areas, within the framework of the common strategic goals between the two sides.
The president of the African Development Bank lauded Egypt’s development experience over the past few years, describing it as a source of great inspiration for African peoples across the continent and adding that the Egyptian people and their political leadership have demonstrated great capacity for rapid advancement and accomplishment of many important achievements. He noted achievements made across many development sectors mainly electricity, water treatment, the development of unplanned residential areas, as illuminating examples and models of development progress benefiting large segments of the population.
Dr. Adesina said he was pleased that Egypt would host the Bank’s annual meetings in Sharm El-Sheikh in May. The meeting would focus on encouraging continental economic integration, as well as mechanisms to close the African continent’s climate finance gap. President El-Sisi expressed Egypt’s full support for the Bank and its annual meetings and affirmed Egypt’s constant interest to promote the interests of Africa in all its forms and at all levels.
