قاطرة التنمية الزراعية تستقبل وزير الزراعة النيجيري لتعزيز التعاون الإقليمي
الجندي وأبوبكر كياري يتفقدان شركة طنطا موتورز، أكبر شركة مصرية لإنتاج وتسويق المعدات والآلات والجرارات الزراعية
استقبل اللواء أشرف الجندي، محافظ الغربية، مساء اليوم، أبوبكر كياري، وزير الزراعة والأمن الغذائي بدولة نيجيريا، والوفد المرافق له، في لقاء استراتيجي يهدف إلى تعزيز التعاون الثنائي بين مصر ونيجيريا في مجالات الزراعة والصناعات المرتبطة بها، بحضور اللواء أحمد أنور، السكرتير العام لمحافظة الغربية، والدكتور ناجح فوزي وكيل وزارة الزراعة بالغربية، والمهندس عمرو أبو فريخة، مدير عام شركة طنطا موتورز، إحدى كبرى الشركات المصرية العاملة في إنتاج وتسويق المعدات والآلات والجرارات الزراعية.
خلال اللقاء، استعرض اللواء أشرف الجندي المزايا التي تتمتع بها محافظة الغربية كمركز رئيسي للإنتاج الزراعي والصناعي في دلتا النيل، مؤكدًا أن المحافظة تمثل نموذجًا يُحتذى به في التكامل بين الزراعة والصناعة والسياحة. وأشار إلى أن “الغربية ليست مجرد محافظة، بل هي مركز رائد في الإنتاج الزراعي والصناعي، إذ تُعد من أكبر المحافظات المصدرة للبطاطس والأسمدة والمنتجات الزراعية الأخرى، بالإضافة إلى تميزها بصناعة الزبيب، حيث تسهم قرى مثل شنراق بمركز السنطة بنسبة 85% من إجمالي صادرات مصر من هذا المنتج، ما يعكس الدور الحيوي للمحافظة في دعم الاقتصاد الوطني”.
وأضاف: “الغربية تنتج أكثر من 60% من عجينة الياسمين العالمية من خلال قرية شبرا بلولة بمركز قطور، التي تُعد من أبرز قصص النجاح في تحويل الموارد الطبيعية إلى منتجات عالمية”. وأكد أن المحافظة تعمل بشكل مكثف على دعم القرى المنتجة الـ29 التي تمثل نموذجًا للابتكار في الإنتاج الزراعي والصناعات الصغيرة والمتوسطة، مشيرًا إلى أن كل قرية تتميز بمنتج أو اثنين، ما يجعلها ركيزة أساسية للاقتصاد المحلي.
وأشار محافظ الغربية إلى أن زيارة وزير الزراعة النيجيري تمثل فرصة هامة لتصدير الخبرات المصرية في مجالات الزراعة والصناعة إلى القارة الإفريقية، مشيرًا إلى عمق العلاقات الاستراتيجية بين مصر ونيجيريا. وقال الجندي: “نسعى لتقديم نموذج تنموي متكامل يعزز الاكتفاء الذاتي من الغذاء ويدعم الاستدامة. محافظة الغربية تمتلك إمكانيات تجعلها مركزًا رائدًا للتعاون الزراعي الإفريقي، بما يعكس رؤية مصر التنموية ودورها في دعم التنمية بالقارة”.
من جانبه، أعرب السيد أبوبكر كياري، وزير الزراعة والأمن الغذائي النيجيري، عن سعادته بزيارة محافظة الغربية، مشيدًا بما شاهده من نماذج تنموية متميزة. وقال كياري: “لقد رأيت بنفسي كيف يمكن للتخطيط السليم أن يحول الموارد المحلية إلى قيمة اقتصادية هائلة. تجربة محافظة الغربية في الإنتاج الزراعي والصناعي، خاصة في قرى مثل شنراق وشبرا بلولة، تقدم دروسًا قيّمة لنيجيريا التي تسعى إلى تعزيز قدراتها الزراعية والصناعية”.
وأضاف الوزير: “نطمح إلى تعزيز التعاون مع مصر للاستفادة من خبراتها الواسعة، لا سيما في مجالات زراعة المحاصيل الاستراتيجية وتطوير الصناعات الزراعية، بما يدعم جهودنا لتحقيق الأمن الغذائي والتنمية المستدامة في نيجيريا”.
وعلى هامش الزيارة، تفقد اللواء أشرف الجندي، محافظ الغربية، والسيد أبوبكر كياري، وزير الزراعة والأمن الغذائي بدولة نيجيريا، شركة طنطا موتورز، إحدى كبرى الشركات المصرية الرائدة في إنتاج وتسويق المعدات والآلات والجرارات الزراعية.
واستمع الجندي وكياري إلى شرح توضيحي عن أنشطة الشركة التي تعمل تحت شعار “بكل فخر صنع في مصر”، كما اطلعا على نماذج من المعدات الزراعية المتطورة التي تنتجها الشركة. تضمنت الجولة مشاهدة معدات مثل بلانتر هواء (فاكيوم)، وحدة زراعة يدوية، بلانتر كسافا، سطارة بذور، بلانتر بطاطس، آلة حصاد القمح والأرز، حصاد الكسافا، ماكينة دراس وتذرية، ديجر بطاطس، وحصاد الفول السوداني.
وأشاد الوزير النيجيري بما شاهده من تطور تكنولوجي وتصنيع محلي في شركة طنطا موتورز، معربًا عن اهتمام نيجيريا بالتعاون مع الشركات المصرية للاستفادة من خبراتها في إنتاج المعدات الزراعية التي تلبي احتياجات المزارعين وتساهم في تعزيز الإنتاجية الزراعية.
وفي ختام الزيارة، دعا اللواء أشرف الجندي، محافظ الغربية، السيد أبوبكر كياري، وزير الزراعة والأمن الغذائي بدولة نيجيريا، إلى تكرار زيارته للمحافظة لمتابعة ما يتم إنجازه على أرض الواقع من مشروعات تنموية في المجالات الزراعية والصناعية. وأكد المحافظ أن محافظة الغربية ستظل مفتوحة أمام تعزيز التعاون مع الأشقاء الأفارقة، مشددًا على أهمية استمرار تبادل الخبرات لدعم الأمن الغذائي وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة في البلدين.

Al-Gendy and Abubakar Kiari Visit Tanta Motors, Egypt’s Largest Company for Producing and Marketing Agricultural Equipment and Tractors
Today, Major General Ashraf El-Gendy, Governor of Gharbia, welcomed Mr. Abubakar Kiari, the Nigerian Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, and his accompanying delegation in a strategic meeting aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Nigeria in agriculture and related industries. The meeting was attended by Major General Ahmed Anwar, the Secretary-General of Gharbia Governorate, Dr. Nagah Fawzy, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture in Gharbia, and Engineer Amr Abu Freikha, General Manager of Tanta Motors, one of Egypt’s largest companies specializing in the production and marketing of agricultural equipment, machines, and tractors.
During the meeting, Major General Ashraf El-Gendy highlighted the advantages of Gharbia Governorate as a major center for agricultural and industrial production in the Nile Delta. He emphasized that the governorate is a model of integration between agriculture, industry, and tourism. He said, “Gharbia is not just a governorate; it is a leading center in agricultural and industrial production. It is one of the largest exporters of potatoes, fertilizers, and other agricultural products, in addition to its specialization in raisin production. Villages such as Shanraq in the Senouda District contribute 85% of Egypt’s total raisin exports, reflecting the vital role of the governorate in supporting the national economy.”
He added: “Gharbia produces more than 60% of the world’s jasmine paste from the village of Shubra Balloula in the Qutur District, which is one of the most notable success stories in transforming natural resources into global products.” He also confirmed that the governorate is working intensively to support its 29 productive villages, which represent a model of innovation in agricultural production and small- and medium-sized industries, pointing out that each village specializes in one or two products, making them a cornerstone of the local economy.
The Governor of Gharbia also pointed out that the visit of the Nigerian Minister of Agriculture represents an important opportunity to export Egyptian expertise in agriculture and industry to the African continent, emphasizing the deep strategic relations between Egypt and Nigeria. Al-Gendy stated, “We seek to present an integrated development model that enhances food self-sufficiency and supports sustainability. Gharbia has the potential to be a leading center for African agricultural cooperation, reflecting Egypt’s developmental vision and its role in supporting development on the continent.”
On his part, Mr. Abubakar Kiari, the Nigerian Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, expressed his happiness at visiting Gharbia Governorate, praising the exceptional development models he witnessed. Kiari said, “I have seen firsthand how proper planning can turn local resources into immense economic value. Gharbia’s experience in agricultural and industrial production, particularly in villages such as Shanraq and Shubra Balloula, offers valuable lessons for Nigeria, which is seeking to enhance its agricultural and industrial capabilities.”
The Minister added, “We aspire to strengthen cooperation with Egypt to benefit from its extensive expertise, particularly in the cultivation of strategic crops and the development of agricultural industries, to support our efforts in achieving food security and sustainable development in Nigeria.”
On the sidelines of the visit, Major General Ashraf El-Gendy, Governor of Gharbia, and Mr. Abubakar Kiari, Nigerian Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, toured Tanta Motors, one of Egypt’s leading companies in the production and marketing of agricultural equipment, machines, and tractors.
The Governor and the Minister were briefed on the company’s activities, which operates under the slogan “Proudly Made in Egypt.” They also observed models of the advanced agricultural equipment produced by the company, including equipment such as a vacuum planter, manual planting unit, cassava planter, seed spreader, potato planter, wheat and rice harvesting machine, cassava harvester, threshing and winnowing machine, potato digger, and peanut harvester.
The Nigerian Minister praised the technological advancements and local manufacturing at Tanta Motors, expressing Nigeria’s interest in cooperating with Egyptian companies to benefit from their expertise in producing agricultural equipment that meets the needs of farmers and contributes to enhancing agricultural productivity.
At the conclusion of the visit, Major General Ashraf El-Gendy, Governor of Gharbia, invited Mr. Abubakar Kiari, the Nigerian Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, to return for another visit to the governorate to follow up on the progress of ongoing development projects in agricultural and industrial fields. The Governor emphasized that Gharbia will remain open to enhancing cooperation with African brothers, stressing the importance of continued exchange of expertise to support food security and achieve sustainable development in both countries.
